Meet the Team: Chrystall Goodden
Chrystall Goodden: Marketing, Communications & Events
You are an indispensable member of our IPT team. For those who don’t know you, could you tell us a bit about yourself and your role at IPT?
What I love about my role at IPT is that no one day is the same, the management team have been supportive from the beginning, allowing me to dip into different areas of the business that I have experience or an interest in.
I work in the Administration and Accounts Team as a Marketing, Communications and Events Executive so a typical day involves helping out with client queries, posting stock to the trading board on behalf of clients, supporting our Sales Team and handling the social media accounts for both IPT and ITC. There is certainly no time to get bored!
What I enjoy most is supporting our team and our clients, it’s always rewarding to have played a part in helping someone reach their goals.
How has your experience prepared you for this role and what do you think makes the IPT team so effective?
My previous experience lies predominantly in the field of Marketing and Administration and I have had the pleasure of working for both smaller family businesses and large multi-national corporations.
I have previous experience with a trade association, be it in ‘grain and feed’ rather than mobile phones and consumer electronics! However, I loved it! I love working with people from all over the world for a company that’s focused on bringing people together, ultimately making the industry a safer and more sustainable one.
When I saw the role advertised with IPT, I started researching the company and could see that several employees had worked here for over a decade and I thought “they must be doing something right!” It is more than a family business; it really does feel like being part of a family! In the same way families look out for each other and put each other first, I think IPT understand that by ensuring each individual feels content and supported in their role, the team as a whole is stronger as a result.
You upped sticks and moved from Australia to London then to the beautiful Dorset countryside in 2017, apart from your fabulous husband and gorgeous dog what do you love about being in the UK?
There is a lot to love about life in the U.K! Australia is a special place and I feel very grateful to have grown up there, however, it does have one major pitfall; it’s miles away from anywhere! I was keen on travel so I moved to the U.K., initially for just a couple of years, for the travel connections to Europe.
I loved my five years of ‘London life’, there was always something exciting happening, a great new restaurant to try and different corners to wander and explore. There’s far more to London than what’s seen on the tourist trail!
Dorset feels like a completely different world, with beautiful rolling fields, cosy pubs and the stunning Jurassic coast, I have to pinch myself that I get to live here!
Your social media quotes you are “Living The Goodden Life”, for those who don’t know you, could you tell us a bit about Chrystall outside of the office?
My husband and I moved from London seeking out a simpler life, however, it feels like we work harder now than we ever did! We spend most of our time in our garden, we grow our own organic fruit and vegetables with self-sufficiency as the ultimate goal.
While it is hard work, it has its rewards, my husband is a trained chef and I dabbled in food-writing during our time in London so we are both keen foodies who love to be able to use our home-grown produce in our culinary creations. If not working in the garden we’re out exploring this beautiful part of the world.

ITC 2019 was your first IPT event. How would you describe the event in five words and what you are looking forward to about ITC 2022?
Meticulous – at ITC no detail goes overlooked, our team think of everything to ensure the event runs smoothly and successfully.
Heartening – coming together with 400 people from all over the world is quite a beautiful thing to be a part of. Many have been members of IPT for so many years that they’re part of the family too!
Inspiring – It was such an honour to sit down and chat with our members, each with their own inspiring story, young entrepreneurs and others who’ve built multi-million-dollar businesses from the ground up.
Binding – at ITC there is a creation of a sense of belonging and connectedness, it’s a space where we’re all valued, respected and supported. This shared experience has the power to bond people for life!
Inimitable – Words fail to capture how special ITC really is – it’s an event that just needs to be experienced!
I can’t wait to return to Malta to catch up with all of the clients that I’ve only been able to speak to on Whatsapp or Skype for so long! Getting to work with our Malta team again is something I’m especially excited about; they’re an inspiring bunch and such a pleasure to work with!
I’m looking forward to seeing our team back in their element again, doing what they do best; bringing people together! It’s incredibly hard work pulling ITC together, each member of our team brings their own unique set of skills and experience to the fold, each a vital cog in the ITC machine. I left with an enormous amount of respect for each and every one of them! I’m especially looking forward to raising a glass with the ITC family as the sunsets on the final evening, to celebrate yet another successful event!
